Stars Who Got the Video Game Treatment

Stars Who Got the Video Game Treatment

Some were massive hits, others were enormous flops. But each of these celebrities should be just as proud as the next to have had their own video game made (and played). You can watch yourself on TV or in theaters as much as you want, but does it get any cooler than guiding your own virtual self around a screen for hours on end? Not that we'd know, but just sayin'.

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner (centre) arrives at Stansted Airport on June 2, 2011 in Stansted, England. The photograph is a recreation of a picture originally taken in the 1960's, with ten of the new London Bunnies. Mr Hefner is back in the UK to mark the launch of the new Playboy Club in Mayfair, which opens on June 4. The clubs opening will welcome back the iconic Playboy Bunny to Londonafter a 30 year absence. Famous Bunnies have included Debbie Harry and Lauren Hutton.

Remember the GameCube? Yeah, we barely do either. But before there was the Wii, there was the GameCube, where atrociously amazing games like Mary-Kate and Ashley Sweet 16: Licensed To Drive thrived. And by thrived, we of course mean no one bought them. And then the twins sued game developer Acclaim for "abandoning" the franchise. That's not very sweet!

Tim Allen
While younger generations might only know Tim Allen as the voice of Buzz Lightyear, those who lived through the 90s will always know him as Tim the Toolman Taylor from Home Improvement. The atrociously bad SNES video game (also named Home Improvement) sees a virtual Tim take on dinosaurs and other non-sensical bad guys. Yeah, don't ask.

Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson probably loved games more than most people on this list. So it makes sense that he had a had in creating Michael Jackson's Moonwalker, a game that follows MJ on a quest to save kidnapped children from the hands of an evil "Mr. Big." Since his death, original copies of the game have been sold on eBay for as much as $14,000! No, that wasn't a typo.

Shaq
Big Shaq Diesel was more than believable as a genie in Kazaam, so it made perfect sense that he was turned into a kung-fu master in his video game  Shaq Fu. Ok, we take all that back. Especially the part about him being believable in Kazaam. But he's just so damn loveable, we feel inclined to support whatever the big man does.

Britney Spears
In her prime, Britney Spears could dance like it was her job. Oh, right. It was her job... and she made millions of dollars doing it. But no matter how rich she got, she wasn't able to make Britney's Dance Beat -- where you try prove your skills as one of the pop star's backup dancers -- into anything even remotely enjoyable.

Jackie Chan
We don't mean this to sound degrading, but Jackie Chan reminds us of a child -- he's constantly giddy and doing wild things like getting slimed on stage at the Kid's Choice Awards. So really, it only makes sense that in his SNES video game, you run around killing frogs and drop kicking tigers, rather than actually killing people or ninjas, or anything badass.

In Wu Tang: Shaolin Style you get to play as rappers RZA, Method Man and Ghost Face Killah. The goal: kick as much ass as possible while wielding sledge hammers, samurai swords and other deadly objects. Oscar winners and ninja warriors? Who knew!

In 50 Cent: Bulletproof you get to live the life of the main man himself, who has made millions upon millions of dollars selling vitamin water and reminding people over and over that he was shot. It's like Grand Theft Auto, just with worse graffics, boring storylines and a soundtrack that would upset your mother.

Wayne Gretzky
His coaching career didn't go over so well, but Wayne Gretzky is still arguably the best hockey player to ever put on a pair of skates, so who really cares? Plus, his video game, Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey is considered a cult classic by many a Nintendo 64 fanboy (or girl -- but probably mostly boys).

Michael Jordan
When you're considered by most to be the greatest NBA player of all time, it would only make sense that someone would want to make a video game about you. Right? While Space Jam was amazing in every way possible, Michael Jordan: Chaos in the Windy City was just downright unplayable. As amusing as it was to watch MJ fight zombies and light basketballs on fire, the game was absolutely awful.

Tiger Woods
Before Tiger Woods' infidelities led him into his current state of opprobrium, he was loved throughout the world for being one of the best golfers to ever play the game. Part of the reason why the guy is STILL the richest athlete in the world is due to the amazing success of his video game franchise, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, which first hit stores back in 1998.

Tony Hawk
Tony Hawk is widely considered one of the greatest vert skateboarders to ever live. So it only made sense that the world's most popular skateboarding game would be named after him. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater was originally released in 1999 and is considered one of the most revolutionary video games of all time.

Hot Spot of the Day: Gibson Amphitheater, Los Angeles - MTV Movie Awards

Monday, June 6, 2011

Kissing, groping and a Robert Pattinson projected F-Bomb. It could only be the MTV Movie Awards, held this year at our Hot Spot of the Day: The Gibson Ampitheater in Los Angeles.

The annual movie award extravaganza is known for its ridiculous moments, like when Sean William Scott wore underwear with Justin Timberlake's face plastered on it. Or when Sacha Baron Cohen made out with Will Ferrell after receving their Best Kiss award in 2007. And last night was was no different, as Mila Kunis and JT groped each other, R-Patz threw out an uncensored F-Bomb, and Steve-o proclaimed to the world that he wanted Donald Trump inside of him.

These moments, coupled with a crop of star attendees like Justin Bieber, Kristen Stewart and Jim Carrey, officially made the Gibson Amphitheater the hottest place on earth last night. Originally an outdoor venue, it was remodeled in 1982 to become an indoor theater, allowing for better acoustics. The venue is found in the midst of Universal Studios CityWalk, which -- if you haven't been -- is a great place to buy overpriced movie tickets and/or visit one of the last remaining Hard Rock Cafes.

Assuming you weren't able to score seats to the MTV Movie Awards, the least you can do is enjoy these pictures of all the stars having a ball at the Gibson Amphitheater.

But first, a better picture of the venue in relation to the rest of Los Angeles. As you can see, it's northeast of Beverly Hills, just off the 101 Freeway.

And now, what you really came for, pictures of The Biebs in a sharp blue suit. He could probably do without those earrings. But you be the judge.

Robert Pattinson pretty much won every award he was nominated for, which makes total sense seeing as the golden popcorn is given out based on fan voting, and he's uh, sort of popular.

Kristen Stewart appeared to want to kiss her Twilight co-star when the two went up to accept their third straight win in the Best Kiss category. But the Brit wasn't feeling it.

Harry Potter actor Tom Felton (he's Draco) won the award for Best Villain. In his gracious acceptance speech, he thanked the fans and said that the golden popcorn would look great in his downstairs toilet. Yep, he said that.

Jim Carrey took the stage wearing an all green suit that had film footage
splashed across it for audiences at home to view.
Unfortunately for the live audience, he just looked funky.
But at home, he looked awesome.

Reese Witherspoon received the Generation Award, which honored her career in film. But from the MTV producers' standpoint, it looked like yet another excuse to throw Robert Pattinson on stage. Though they probably didn't expect him to blurt out an F-Bomb.

Thursday, May 26, 2011

In  one of previous article of my blog (Webbuzz) I posted about the Chrome version of Angry Birds game which you can play on any web browser. To read that article click here. The best game players (purists) out there beat every levels on the chrome version and progress to the next level wih fun and joy, as the game released on May 11th with fanfare at Google's I/O Conference. But what can we guys, who cannot beat the levels, do? Now here's a nice and pretty easy trick, found by Wes Bos, a notable tech entrepreneur and founder of DealPage. He has found a small piece of code that can unlock all the levels on the Chrome version of the game. This Chorme version of the game, can be played on any web browser as I said in my previous article. But...

But for this trick to work, you will need the Google Chrome. So download Google Chrome and later go to the Chrome web store. There download and install the Angy birds game.

And after loading the game, type the piece of javascript code below, in the chrome address bar.

javascript: var i = 0; while (i<=69) { localStorage.setItem('level_star_'+i,'3'); i++; } window.location.reload();

Hit the enter key. Now the game starts loading again. Now you can find all the 70 levels of the game unlocked.

As you can see above, with this simple java script code we can unlock all the 70 levels

If you ever need to revert the game to it's original state, don't worry. There is another code to do so. Just type the below code in the address bar again.

javascript: var i = 1; while (i<=69) { localStorage.setItem('level_star_'+i,'-1'); i++; } window.location.reload();
That's all. Now you can enjoy all the 70 levels of the game. Don't forget to leave a comment below.

The 7 Most Horrifying 'Jackass' Injuries - recommended

MTV's "Jackass" came into our lives in 2000 and showed us that ...
being insane can be profitable. We've learned many things from those crazy bastards during their tenure: the importance of TV disclaimers; to never challenge Butterbean to a fight; and to never fall asleep in the presence of Mr. Bam Margera.
But most important, we've learned that man is mortal. Yes, hurling oneself backward on a bike or stapling one's scrotum to the leg will have painful repercussions. Relive the most horrible self-inflicted traumas after the jump.

7) Bucket Cars

Brandon Cole "Bam" Margera chose a path that was fraught with horrible pain. The guy is a professional skateboarder who has suffered knockouts and broken bones, and once, he even tore his liver. So by comparison, his "Jackass"-related injuries are pretty manageable. Watch when, during Season 2 of MTV's "Jackass," he broke his tailbone racing a tiny bucket car down a steep hill.

MTV Shows

6) Insane Radio Flyer

It's a miracle that Steve-O is still with us after all of his suffering. The man is a true artist, although instead of paints he uses writhing pain, and sometimes feces. During a stunt for the "Jackass" TV series, Steve-O fell out of a little red wagon going at top speed. He scraped off a bunch of ass flesh. The incident caused Steve-O intense pain for two weeks, when no chair was soft enough.

5) Porcelain Nightmare

Bam suffered three broken ribs, a broken clavicle and broken foot during the filming of "Jackass 3D." Luckily, though, kicking his dad's ass while using the toilet on camera is perfectly safe. As long as Bam just focuses on that, nobody loses--except Bam's dad. Because there's no place more sacred for a man than the porcelain throne, this unfortunate beating made the list.

4) Turbulence

Loomis Fall's career has taken all kinds of unexpected turns. He has been in bands, most notably Wax, and he's an actual artist who sells actual paintings. Chances are, though, you recognize him from his appearances in the "Jackass" films and MTV's "Wildboyz" series. Fall is definitely a fitting last name for this skinny little jackass. During the filming of "Jackass 3D," Fall was launched from behind an airplane engine while wearing a full body wind suit. He broke his clavicle and shattered his hand.

3) Bodily Souvenir

Poor Steve-O. He was shot in the nipple with a high-powered BB gun and the scene didn't make it to film. However, the shot caused permanent nipple damage, and the bullet is still lodged in there to this day. It makes you appreciate your unscathed nipples, doesn't it?

2) Butter-Beaned

Johnny Knoxville, the fearless leader of this band of misfits, has charged with his men right into battle. For several seasons of MTV's "Jackass," it almost seemed like Mr. Knoxville was trying to destroy his reproductive organs. The man has been hit by a car and suffered multiple concussions, and in doing so has won our hearts. Thank you, Johnny Knoxville.
One of Johnny's concussions, however, stands out from the rest: the one he suffered when he tried to box Butterbean. The beating left Knoxville concussed and in need of stitches to repair his scalp.

EMBED-Butterbean Vs. Johnny Knoxville

1) The Backflip Heard Round The World

At this point you're saying "How isn't one of Steve-O's injuries in the number one spot?" Well, the answer is simple. During a stunt for "Jackass Number Two," Knoxville tried to do a backflip on a bike. It didn't end well. In fact, it tore his urethra. That's in your penis. Tearing something inside your penis gets you the number one spot on an injury list automatically.

EMBED-Johnny Knoxville Backflip Goes Wrong

You probably need a warm shower and some private time to caress your man parts after all these disasters. But first, unwind with a few videos of the crew talking about all their injuries.

2010 GRAMMY

The 10 Most Shocking 2010 GRAMMY Moments... In Photos! by MTV

1.) KATY PERRY SIDE BOOB! Repeat... KATY PERRY! SIDEBOOB! Thanks to Zac Posen, the miracles of double-sided tape, and a sliding scale of modesty, Katy Perry gave her fans a little peekaboo surprise. She probably also made some new fans. You're welcome.

2.) BRITNEY'S RELATIVELY PANTS-FREE OUTFIT! BRITNEY SPEARS DID attend the GRAMMYs. Though she made an understated entrance on the red carpet, her outfit was anything but. Perhaps in an homage to "Pants On The Ground," Britney's black see-through Dolce & Gabbana looked like it was missing a bottom half but ACTUALLY had a quite "demure" knee-length skirt, thank you very much. (Still, any outfit that demands a bikini wax means you're basically not wearing pants.)

3.) BEYONCE ADOPTED JUSTIN BIEBER! #okaynotreally

4.) CELINE DION PROPOSED TO LADY GAGA! She said yes! #thatalsodidnotreallyhappen

5.) JAMIE FOXX DRESSED UP LIKE SHREK. Or the cat from Shrek. Take your pick.

Check out more shocking moments from the 2010 GRAMMY Awards after the jump!

7.) PINK AS THE VIRGIN MARY AND A HUMAN SPRINKLER: Pink started out her GRAMMY performance looking like a religious icon. She ended it upside-down, in a body suit that looked like it was made of athletic tape, doing her best impression of a Waterpik showerhead. #lovedit

8.) BEYONCE'S CROTCH GRAB: That. Girl. Got. NASTAY. She grabbed her crotch, sang Alanis Morissette's ode to illicit behavior in a movie theater, and then got all Adam Lambert-at-the-AMAs freaky-deaky with the crotch grab. #totallylovedit

9.) IMOGEN HEAP'S OUTFIT: I mean WHO wears FLATS on the red carpet! (SMDH.)

10.) SNOOKI WAS AT THE GRAMMYS! Because... she's Snooki! As the inventor of the poof, it was kinda sad to see that Snooki's hair wasn't getting her signature height at the GRAMMYs. (Also, is Snooki morphing into the fourth Kardashian sister?) Snooki did, however, meet Katy Perry, so the night was still a win.

Lady Gaga Eats Letterman's Paper Notes: 'Born This Way' Star Gets Funny (VIDEO)

Lady Gaga Paper

Here's an incentive to buy the physical disc version of Lady Gaga's new album, "Born This Way": the liner notes may just be delicious.
Gaga continued her media blitz on Monday, promoting her new album and discussing her egg-vessel on "The Late Show with David Letterman." She gave a very spiritual answer to Dave's question about the egg, saying, "It's a place where I can meditate and experience rebirth, so I just get inside of it and close it, and then when I feel that I have been reborn spiritually, I just, whoo, come out."
Then, it was on to the issue of la femme Osbourne; or, eating Barbie doll heads while on stage, in the style of Ozzy Osbourne's famed bat head diet.
Before Letterman could even finish his question, Gaga proved her dietary courage, popping his ripped up notes in for a snack. Apparently, though, it didn't quite have the flavor of her Barbies, or, of course, dresses. But hey, it's one way Gaga can separate herself from Madonna.

Lady Gaga: Madonna Ripoff?

Gaga MadonnaAs far as show business careers go, there are few better to mimic than Madonna's. A megastar for nearly 30 years, the singer/actress/director has become more an icon than celebrity, the kind of shining, one-name-only fixture in our cultural sky. As such, you couldn't really blame a singer for following that path to success. But Lady Gaga doesn't want to hear that.
For the singer who claims she was "Born This Way," her originality is currency, and accusations of facsimile are akin to calling her a fraud. Unfortunately for Gaga, those accusations have been coming in more frequently than ever, even if she thinks they're "retarded."
With her Catholic-challenging dance beats and ever-changing style, Gaga is most certainly the most successful pop star since Madonna, but she'd prefer the comparisons end at Billboard position comparisons. Still, the newest chapter in The Wrap's three part look at Gaga, whose album dropped on Monday, probes into the two stars, finding similarities between diva past and present too striking to ignore.
That being said, estimates are that Gaga's album should sell one million copies in its first week; it's already at the top of the iTunes charts. So if she is a Madonna a ripoff, she can at least say she's the absolute best one yet

These are really "Wow" moments for every man- enjoy!!!
